Wildlife Photography Workshops for Beginners

The world of Wildlife Photography can be confusing, especially when you’re first starting out. The aim of these workshops are to de-mystify and simplify the process allowing you to focus on Creating Wildlife Images you Enjoy. We’ll work together to get the most out of your camera and increase Your confidence.

In these workshops you will learn the basics of wildlife photography from what camera gear to use, the fundamental principles of photography and how to get creative with your wildlife photography imagery!

We’ll start with a relaxed theory session indoors, before going outside in the Stanley vicinity to to put our skills into practice.

The structure of the theory workshop will be:

The beauty of photographing wildlife is that it is always changing and evolving, encountering the unexpected. In this environment the photographer must learn to work with these changing environmental conditions and behaviours, and the result cannot always be predicted.

Requirements: No equipment is needed for the theory workshops. For the outdoor workshops, a digital DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual controls is needed. I can lend a camera to participants if required.

Following the workshop, i hope to provide an opportunity so you can receive feedback on your images taken.

The theory workshop is planned to last for approximately one to two hours. The cost is £25 per person. At this stage the number of participants is not restricted.

After attending the theory workshop, the outdoor workshops will be for three hours and is restricted to a maximum of 4-6 people. The cost per person for the three hour workshop is £30

There are opportunities for one-to-one sessions, or small sessions with friends if preferable. As a guideline these will be approximately £150 for one person, £75 per person for two persons and £50 per person for three persons

During the season i hope to offer day trips and weekends to other destiantions for workshops.
